In 2011 my friends and I built this little sauna with a donated wood burning stove, and a trailer and redwood from Craigslist. We even borrowed construction tools from the Berkeley Tool Lending Library. It was stolen off the street in 2013 and never seen again. I forgive the thief and hope they enjoyed it.
Ever since that incident, I had been wanting to build a replacement. After watching Good Hot launch a successfully pop-up sauna business in the California Bay Area I became inspired to create my own portable sauna with the aspirations of starting a similar business in the Pacific North West.
